Adastra brings Carlyle on board for next chapter of growth

Adastra, a global IT consultancy and services provider with around 2,000 people, has been acquired by Carlyle, one of the world’s largest private equity companies.

Founded in 2000 with headquarters in Prague, Czech Republic and Toronto, Canada, Adastra specializes in digital transformation and technology consulting services, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, cloud, data engineering, and application development. The firm works closely with technology partners including Databricks, Microsoft, Google, AWS, and Bloomreach.

Adastra works for clients across a range of sectors, including financial services, automotive, manufacturing, technology, media, telecom, healthcare, retail, and professional services.

With the financial backing of Carlyle, which has a longstanding track record of scaling IT services companies, Adastra aims to expand its market presence, services portfolio, and impact at clients.

Key growth-focused initiatives include expanding its international presence (currently 24 offices in around 15 countries), closing acquisitions to accelerate in high-demand markets, and expand the depth of offerings in AI, data, and cloud.
