Capgemini acquires international manufacturing specialist Piterion

Capgemini has acquired Piterion, an international firm specialized in product lifecycle management and industrial digitalization.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Stuttgart, Piterion has a team of nearly 300 people working across offices in Germany, Italy, Tunisia and India. The company supports its clients with mechanical, electronic, and software engineering, with deep expertise in designing and managing application environments to improve manufacturing processes.

Piterion specializes in industrial digitalization, notably product lifecycle management (PLM), and the interconnectivity of systems in the manufacturing landscape. Clients are active in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, defense, life sciences, and high-tech.

A leading player in product lifecycle management and manufacturing operations management, Piterion will strengthen Capgemini’s PLM practice, expand our agent-based solution offerings, deepen strategic client relationships, and help accelerate growth,” said Michael Schulte, CEO of Capgemini Engineering.

Financial terms and condition of the deal have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in France, Capgemini is a global technology services company with over 420,000 people in more than 50 countries. The firm also has a €1+ billion management and digital transformation consulting business: Capgemini Invent.
