In his new role, Stefan Becker is responsible for the strategic direction and operations of the German organisation, which is one of CGI’s larger worldwide. In Germany, CGI has a team of around of 4,500 consultants working from 24 offices.
Commenting on his new role, Becker said: “Companies in Germany are undergoing significant economic and technological change. They need trustworthy partners who combine strategic and operational expertise to accelerate this transformation and achieve measurable results. As CGI, we are well-positioned to help our clients navigate this transformation.”
Asked about his key goal, he said: “To further expand CGI’s strong base in the German market together with our teams and clients.”
Becker has been with CGI since 2004, when he joined the company through its merger with American Management Systems. He has over the years held a range of leadership roles, leading client engagements and strategic growth initiatives in Europe and North America, spanning the public and private sectors.
Becker most recently led CGI’s US South and LATAM business unit, which oversees a significant part of the firm’s American business and its footprint in Latin America. Before that, he led the Regulatory Agency Programs business unit within CGI Federal, a wholly owned US operating subsidiary of CGI, serving clients across the federal government’s civilian, defense, and intelligence sectors.
With more than 30 years of experience in IT services, Becker has led complex projects in eight countries during his career at CGI. His areas of expertise include designing and implementing IT and business initiatives with a particular focus on strategy development, digital transformation, process optimization and data analytics.
In 2023, Becker received a ‘Builders Award’ from CGI for his contributions to the success and growth of the company.
