Turner & Townsend appoints new Head of Infrastructure in Dutch business

Global professional services company Turner & Townsend has appointed Sander den Blanken as its new Head of Infrastructure in the Netherlands.

Sander den Blanken brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the infrastructure lifecycle, spanning design, engineering, construction, asset management, and advisory.

He joins Turner & Townsend from BAM Infra, where he served as Director of Commercial Business Development. Previously, he held Managing Director roles at BAM Infra Asset Management and BAM Infraconsult, and earlier in his career, he spent more than a decade at Arup, including four years as Managing Director and Country Leader for the Dutch business.

Throughout his career, Den Blanken has worked on major infrastructure programmes across highways, bridges, rail, energy, and urban mobility, including landmark projects for Rijkswaterstaat.

At Turner & Townsend, Den Blanken will lead the Infrastructure practice in the Netherlands, which supports major infrastructure works with services including programme and project management, cost and commercial management, project controls, and digital solutions.

In the Netherlands, Turner & Townsend has a team of around 160 people working from offices in Amsterdam and Eindhoven.
